DG Coding ("we", "us") builds and maintains websites for businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://dgcoding.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

Who is responsible for your information

DG Coding, based in Braselton, Georgia, United States, is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at David@dgcoding.com or Gabriel@dgcoding.com.

What we collect

  • Contact form details you choose to send us: your name, email address, optional company name, your message, and a record that you agreed to be contacted.
  • Purchase details when you buy a package or maintenance plan. Checkout, payment and customer accounts are handled by Shopify; we receive order and contact details from Shopify but never see your full card number.
  • Basic, aggregated visit measurement such as page views, referring website, device type and country. This is collected without cookies and is not used to identify you.
  • Information stored in your browser so the site works, for example your shopping cart and your cookie choice.

Why we use it and our legal bases

  • To answer your enquiry and discuss a possible project — based on your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To deliver, invoice and support the services you order — to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep the website secure and working correctly, and to understand in aggregate how it is used — our legitimate interest, with optional measurement subject to your cookie choice where consent is required.
  • To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use your information for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share information with service providers we need to run the business, and only for that purpose:

  • Shopify — online store, checkout, payments and customer accounts.
  • Our website and database hosting provider, which stores contact form submissions on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the site's fonts and receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • Google Search Console, which reports aggregated search performance for the site.
  • Email providers we use to reply to you.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred out of the UK, EU or another region with transfer rules, we rely on the transfer safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Client project and billing records: as long as needed for the engagement and then for the period required by tax and accounting rules.
  • Aggregated visit statistics: kept in aggregate form only, with no way to identify you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent at any time, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not do either). We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email David@dgcoding.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
